YOU NEED BOUNDARIES BETWEEN YOU AND THE REST OF THE WORLD. OTHER PEOPLE ARE FAR TOO MESSY. IT’S ALL ABOUT LINES. DRAWING LINES IN THE SAND AND PRAYING LIKE HELL NO ONE CROSSES THEM…

Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural bound·aries
Etymology: 2bound + 1-ary
bound·ary·less -ləs\ adjective
bound·ary·less·ness noun

boundaries.  they’re there for a reason, right?  they kind of form themselves around you, to your standards, to who you are…

my number one boundary?

no one meets silly monkey until i’m ready for them to meet silly monkey. he’s had a slew of people in and out of his life.  and i’m sure, given the history and circumstances on the other side of the road, he’ll have more people come in and out of his life.  obviously, this is a no-no for most respectful respectable loving lookingOUTforHISbest interest kind of folk.

hmph.  like i said… most.

for me,  if you meet silly monkey, you must be pretty darn super special.  and given that fact that no one, in the past giveortake two years, has met silly monkey, super special has not come into my life… yet.

so that’s my boundary.  the one i’ve drawn in the sand with cement and a sharpie.  the one right between getting me and getting me with silly monkey.  the one between fun and family.  the one between play and real.  the one that explains why i’m single.  the one that explains why i’ve let relationships go by the wayside or just fizzle out b/c even if it seemed right for me, it just wasn’t right for me AND silly monkey.
